What are the replacement filter costs and how often do you need to replace them?

This system has one 5 micron sediment pre-filter that should be changed every 6 – 12 months for optimal system performance. The filter cost is $54.95 but if you join our auto-ship program, you will save 10%, earn free shipping, and have hassle-free on-time deliveries for your scheduled maintenance. The carbon in the tank must be re-bedded every 5-7 years for continued chemical removal.

Will this system reduce the water pressure in my home?

This system has full 1″ inlet and outlet ports meaning it is capable of supporting up to 25 gallons per minute of peak flow, with no discernable pressure loss. Rest assured you will be able to enjoy the same water pressure that you have now!

What GPM will each system have and which should I choose?

95% of homes never exceed 8.5 gallons per minute of water flow at any given time, however we believe its best to oversize according to your home’s peak flow rate potential. Therefore, homes with 1 to 3 bathrooms are best suited for a 10 GPM system, homes with 4 to 5 bathrooms are best suited for a 15 GPM system, and homes with 6 or more bathrooms should utilize the 20 GPM system.

Is this water filter good for a home on a private well?

If your home’s water is supplied by a private well, it is always best to begin with a laboratory water analysis. Well water has hundreds of variables that must be considered prior to investing in a water treatment system. City water or municipal water is more predictable and benign because of EPA water quality standards, however private wells can have a wide variety of competing contaminants that must be considered when choosing a water filtration system.
