Pioneering Protection
Designed at the 0.5-micron nominal filtration level, the Pioneer removes and/or reduces soluble lead and particulate lead, heavy metals, PFOA/PFOS, chlorine, and chloramine, including > 99.95% of cysts.
Soluble/Ionic & Particulate Lead: The binders within the Pioneer are specifically designed to react with soluble lead by creating an ionic bond. Soluble lead is invisible, odorless, tasteless, by using ionic bonding, the Pioneer ensures all of the lead is kept out of your water supply
PFOA/PFOS: The chemicals Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), also known as C8, and Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) are bio-permanent, are resistant to direct oxidation and do not break down naturally in the environment or the human body. Studies suggest that exposure to the chemicals may lead to cancer. This system has been tested and third-party certified as required in the NSF/ANSI P473 standard for PFOA/PFOS, along with NSF/ANSI 53 standard for the reduction of lead and cyst

Simple To Maintain
Smart Meter Display
The Real-time Dynamic LED System monitors water usage, flow rate, and provides you with a visual color-coded notification, letting you know when it’s time to replace your filter.

Filter Replacement Is A Snap
The Pioneer uses state-of-the-art snap-ring technology to eliminate the need for cumbersome tools. You can easily replace the filter in your Pioneer system by following a few simple steps.

How To Extend The Life Of Your Pioneer Cartridge
The Pioneer System does remove chlorine and chloramine, however, by removing them the life of the carbon in the system is reduced at a significantly higher rate. To combat this we offer our customers the option to add a BodyGuard Whole House Chemical Removal System. By using the BodyGuard as a prefilter for chlorine and chloramine you can extend the life of a pioneer filter cartridge by 1-2 years. This means the bodyguard pays for itself by reducing filter cartridge expenses.
PFOA/PFOS Removal
The NSF P473 Drinking Water Treatment Units standard evaluates the effectiveness of water treatment technologies for reducing certain chemicals in drinking water, including perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorobutane sulfonate (PFOS). As per the new EPA regulations, the maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) are now set at 4 parts per trillion for both PFOA and PFOS. The testing requires these compounds in the influent to be reduced below these new MCL levels to comply with the regulations. Additionally, the EPA has introduced standards for other PFAS compounds and mixtures, providing comprehensive protection against a broader range of contaminants.
For further details on the latest regulations, please refer to the EPA’s announcement on PFAS regulations.
